October 3, 2018 – Larson Manufacturing, in collaboration with FOCUS ON ENERGY®, Lowe’s, Menards, and The Home Depot, is currently offering 25 percent off purchases of Low-E storm windows.  The new program aims to give Wisconsin homeowners an easy, affordable solution to leaky, drafty windows that will save energy and money in their home.

When attached over existing windows, Low-E storm windows have proven to offer similar energy-saving performance to ENERGY STAR® certified replacement windows, but for less than half the cost. Starting at under $75 each with the discount, Low-E storm windows are a cost-effective solution to full window replacement.

Today’s Low-E storm windows offer modern designs that mount outside or inside the home. The addition of Low-E glass reflects heat back to its source, minimizing the amount of infrared energy that passes through the window. For homeowners, that means warmer winters and cooler summers without compromising the visible light that shines through the windows.

Low-E storm windows use high-performance weatherstripping to create a tight seal and a layer of insulating airspace over existing windows which not only saves energy, but also makes the home quieter by reducing outside noise passing through the window opening.  With only a few screws, storm windows attach over existing windows and can be installed without the help of a contractor. Because they mimic the operation of existing windows, storm windows are designed to be installed once and left on year-round.

Any homeowner who is served by a participating Focus on Energy utility is eligible for the 25 percent discount off purchases of up to 15 Low-E storm windows from Larson. Discounts provided by Focus on Energy are available until December 31, 2018, at participating Wisconsin retailers.
